The tristis type eastern Chiffchaff still at Coldwaltham
Sewage works and showing well calling much more frequently. The bird
was heard to call in excess of 50 times today and it didn’t
deviate from typical tristis in both tone and delivery, albeit quieter
than on the Eastern Vagrants CD, but quite different from more disyllabic

A Greenish Warbler viewed at close range just before
mid-day in the Castle Rocks Gulley on the West Hill, Hastings. It
was first seen at about 11am. It was keeping low down, feeding amongst
the lower branches of sycamores in the gulley. Best to view from the
small circular area of open ground called Ladies Parlour between the
castle and the West Hill cafe

of Harmers Pond,searching for food in the mud.Superb view from 5 yards
away before it flew a short distance over to Harmers where it continued

A male Blue Rock Thrush observed as it flew in off
the sea at 0612hrs this morning. It flew directly overhead and was
then relocated on the adjacent playing field where it was observed
on the ground for several minutes before landing on a telephone wire
and then flying back over the Bill House. It flew back a few minutes
later and then disappeared over the house bordering the sea
