At Chichester Gravel Pits (Drayton) this morning there were 3 Green and 5 Common Sandpipers, 120 Lapwing and a single Oystercatcher. A female Gadwall with 7 young was noted, also 4 pairs of Little Grebe with young, 10 Sand Martins and a Hobby

A Stone Curlew at Rye Harbour LNR along the shore ridges at 5:30 then flew east

A Balearic Shearwater and 6 Manx Shearwaters flew west past Beachy Head
A Male Red Backed Shrike at Cissbury Ring on the open area on the lower slope near the Northern Car Park though very elusive
