1 Pied Flycatcher, 2 Redstarts, 1 Blackcap, 1 Whinchat, 22 Wheatears ( mainly Greenland ), 34 Willow Warblers, 2 Chiffchaffs and 18 Whitethroats. Also a Jay and an African Grey Parrot in the woods behind Ovingdean Church. Overhead was a steady passage of Swallows and Swifts.

A Merlin was harassing the Meadow Pipits on Cattle Hill this evening and a Red Legged Partridge was in Roedean Bottom.

A Raven flew south west over Greenways Bottom calling mid morning where there was a single Long tailed Tit. A Goldcrest was the only bird of interest around the school. The area remained in thick fog all day.

A Grey Heron stalking the fish in my garden pond before flying to roost in the trees behind the church.

A Wheatear, the first of the year was seen today also a Grey Wagtail by the Farm.
